Talkie Tuesday: The Winchesters

"Fate is what you make it.

Hello everyone!

I know, I know.

I've really been slacking in the movie department this spring time. I know it VERY well.

Problem is, there's just SO MUCH GOOD STUFF happening all over, whether it be on television or in the gaming industry, that it's hard to stay focused solely on what's on the big screen.

... come to think of it, I should probably do Top Gun and its sequel at some point, considering just how many times those have been watched in this household.

But that's beside the point.

I'm reviewing the first season of a really, really cool show tonight. Fans of Supernatural may know exactly what I'm talking about, but it's not actually Supernatural.

It's what happened BEFORE Supernatural - because everybody has to start somewhere, right?

Well, so did The Winchesters.

Talkie Tuesday: Walker Independence

"Welcome to Independence."

Hello everyone!

Back to the Wild, Wild West we go!

Ahem lol.

So a little bit back I had the randomest post mentioning this show while it was on its break, and since then it's not only returned BUT it concluded it's first season, to roaring success as far as I'm concerned.

Not only did they somehow manage to get the perfect cast for the job at hand, but the writing was also on point from the first to the last episode.

The fact is, it seems to be the only show centered around the old West on television right now, so despite the restructuring over at The CW - and all the rather sad news coming from that with the cancellations and whatnot - viewers are generally hoping this one gets renewed.

I mean, from what I've been able to gather, nobody wants MORE unscripted programming and golf.

But enough with that nonsense. It's cowboy hat time in Walker: Independence.

Talkie Tuesday: Crisis on Infinite Earths

"There was an end ... and there is a beginning.

Thank you, Oliver."

Hello everyone!

Still with me here? Have all your memories, and know Lex Luthor is a bad, bad cookie?

Or are you one of those multitude of numbers who believe he's the Nobel prize winner that he portrays himself to be nowadays?

A lot of things have changed in the Multiverse since the antimatter hit it, and tonight, we're going to be looking at just WHAT happened when it did, and right afterwards.

If you're unfamiliar with the word, hello and welcome to tonight's blog post, in which we try to summarise some of our thoughts over the Crisis in general, come to terms with facts about certain shows, hopefully save the Multiverse from disappearing entirely, and say goodbye.

Yes, it's going to be that kind of blog post.

After all, even though there's been multiple times a crisis has hit our heroes before, none have been on the scale of what took place between December and January on the CW network.

Talkie Tuesday: Valor

"Hooah!"

Hello everyone!

It's Tuesday so I'm back with another blog post, although to be fair my head is beginning to pound for some reason or other and I think I may have to hide out for the rest of the day and not get half of the stuff done that I want to.

Oh well.

In any event, this blog post is going up as per usual, and like I started off and promised last week, it's about another of the military shows which graced our TV screens this autumn.

Last week was all about The Brave, this week we turn over to Valor.

I was honestly surprised when the CW announced that they'd be tossing their hat into the military drama ring, but it looks as if their gamble didn't quite pay off.

So let's talk Valor, people.

Talkie Tuesday: Season Finales

"Who's turn is it, anyway?"

Hello everyone!

This week's blog post is going to be slightly different as I forgot, just a tiny bit, about a promise I made to write it all out once the regular shows in season through the year came to a close. Well, they've certainly been on hiatus now, and still no post from me!

You'd think by now I'd learn to actually make note of what I should or shouldn't write.

Nope. Not me.

In any event, after reliving through Pirates 5 in the beginning of the week, it's time to turn my attentions somewhat closer to the smaller screens again. This post will not, in fact, delve into all the details about what happened during each season finale I'll be talking about, but it will certainly give you enough information to go look them up if you feel inclined to watch, and haven't already!

Come to think of it I may rewatch some of them, just because they were so amazing ...

DCs Cross-over Event: Heroes v Aliens

"Best. Team-up. EVER."

Hello everyone!

So, like I promised this past Tuesday, I switched up the line-up for my blog posts because of the awesome and amazing thing that was happening during the week. Because why would I want to spend a long time developing and writing a blog post about a movie that can wait when we had that cross-over to look forward to?

Okay, yes, heads up, I'm a DC comics fan. And a Marvel fan.

I am firmly convinced you can like both and not have to glare daggers at either camps because, let's face it, all the superheroes and villains in there are for our entertainment.

They probably wouldn't want to be the cause of disputes (if they were real!).

But then I can totally hear Mick Rory already snarling a very trademark 'Speak for yourself!'

Anyway, as you can tell, I'm a fan, I geeked out this week while it was happening, and now that it's over and done with I can finally review it!

Beam me up, Scotty!

DC's Cross-over Event!

Hello everyone!

As this week marks CW's DC Cross-over Event, which spans four episodes of four shows, I decided not to do my usual movie review.

Instead, on Saturday, I'll be posting a combined recap of ALL FOUR shows, just to see what CW has done with them! I hope you enjoy this week just as much as I'm already enjoying it.

Talkie Tuesday: The 100

Hello everyone!
I'm back this week, even though I'm fighting off one heck of a cold (it went through our house like wildfire, and I'm not kidding, dad brought it in and then it went through all of us, ugh). Yesterday my eyes were watering so bad I thought I was going to have to sleep through the rest of today! Luckily, it seems to have just been a rebound or something, since Sunday had been the worst day for me with most of the afternoon spent in bed and nursing a headache, a sore throat, runny nose, and maybe even a slight temperature, not that I checked. That being said, however, I feel sufficiently better this morning to get this blog post up and running, and stop complaining about it! It won't help, either way.

So I know The 100 finished a couple of weeks ago (boo!) and most of the reviews are already in, the recaps obviously overdone, but I figured I could toss my own two cents into the mix while I was at it, considering this is one of my absolute favourite CW shows the network has pushed out in the last couple of years. And I mean, talk about a finale!
