Tome Thursday: Between You, Me, and the Bedpost

Hello everyone!

And another one bites the dust, as they say LOL.

As you can tell, I had a Serenity Woods binge-read over my summer vacation, but that's pretty much standard procedure for me I think. When it all boils down to it, I think, if I went and counted, that I own pretty much all of her books, or at the very least the majority of them.

I know. I may be a little obsessed. I can't help but think there are worse things to obsess over, however, because at least with these stories I'm getting happily ever afters out of the deal!

I was also lucky enough to get a copy of the book from the author herself, which is AWESOME.

Unfortunately I didn't really get the chance to read it before taking off to Croatia, which is why the review seems to come a little bit later than is usual for her books (I normally gobble them down on release day, or the day after if I'm really busy that first round).

So why don't we all sit back and relax while navigating through this review?

Talkie Tuesday: A Taste of Summer

"In the end, you only regret the chances you didn't take."

Hello everyone!

As I've mentioned last week, there's probably going to be an abundance of Hallmark movie reviews on this blog for a little while.

Summer Nights is WELL on the way to being finished and then we're moving into the first week of September already; you can see it happening outside, the light is slanting down at a very different angle, the weather is slightly chillier and a lot wetter already, so basically summer is drawing to a close here in the Northern hemisphere.

We may get some Indian summer later, but who knows with the weather as it is? Some people are saying we're getting snow in October!

Before any of that happens, though, we should enjoy more summer movies if we can, because there will be too many autumn ones to count eventually.

That's why I watch so many from Hallmark, because they know what it's all about.

There wasn't anything different with A Taste of Summer, either.

Tome Thursday: My Lonely Billionaire

Hello everyone!

It's here.

FINALLY, it's here!

When I started reading Serenity Woods' new series, The Billionaire Kings, that cover the lives (and love) of the King offspring, the very first thing I said as the key players were introduced was that Noah King deserved his own story.

I can now happily say he absolutely gets it!

I can also say that I've been invited to join the Kiwi Birds, the ARC group who occasionally receive Ms Woods' work in advance to review it, and I couldn't be happier.

I know I owe a trilogy conclusion on this blog, but I also have one more romance book from down under waiting to be discussed on here so I think I'm going to do that next week and then finish off Rick Riordan's short story trilogy after that.

Before I do it, however, it's actually time for Noah's story.

It's time for My Lonely Billionaire.

Talkie Tuesday: A Summer Romance

"Live each day with courage, take pride in your work;

Talk less, say more, and always finish what you start."

Hello everyone!

I may have to apologise in advance, but I think there's going to be an influx of Hallmark movie channel reviews on this blog for a little bit. I've sort of made a mini list of all the stuff I want to see from their lineup this summer, and I started yesterday so I figure I might as well put my viewing to good use.

Of course, not everyone is going to enjoy this, just like not everyone is going to enjoy the fact that Hallmark is pushing out a new movie pretty much every week.

The thing is, when you have such a massive amount of media, there's bound to be some repetition along the way.

It might have happened in my choice for yesterday's movie night as well, though at the very list I picked a new production seeing as it only aired this weekend, but I didn't get the chance to watch it until yesterday, sadly.

And since it's still summer, why not settle for A Summer Romance?

Tome Thursday: My Roommate, the Billionaire

Hello everyone!

With my return from vacation this also means I have a bunch of new books to review for you guys, and that's probably something I'm more excited about than the movies.

That's not fair to say, but admittedly I've always been much better with the book thing, though this year I'm kind of falling behind in my reading challenge, not something I expected. I'm going to have to kick myself into high gear!

Anyway.

By now, if you've paid attention to this blog at all, you'll know I'm a HUGE fan of Serenity Woods. The accidental download of one of her books has led to a very decent romance with them, considering I devour any and all new works that are published.

I'm also incredibly lucky to have actually communicated with the author, which isn't something that happens every day, but it only makes everything that much better!

So to start us off, I'm reviewing another King boys book. This one's Albie's, and it's called My Roommate, the Billionaire.

Talkie Tuesday: Aladdin

"A whole new world ..."

Hello everyone!

I am BACK after taking a bit of a break and heading off to a vacation which consisted of no computer but a whole lot of books and rewatching movies I hadn't seen in years.

Harry Potter, I'm looking at you.

But then once I got back home I felt like there were other movies I should probably take a look at after I caught up with all my shows, and one of the first that caught my attention was a live-action retelling.

There's something to be said about those.

Disney has been punching them out like they're being made on one of those conveyor belts that goes round a manufacturing plant and people add things one after another in rapid succession. I do have to admit they're entertaining to watch, however.

So grab your flying carpet and hold on to your monkey, everyone, because it's time for a whole new world.

Or in other words, Aladdin.
