Talkie Tuesday: Don't Go Breaking My Heart

"Broken hearts do heal."

Hello everyone!

I am back to my regularly scheduled movie reviews each Tuesday, now that Men in Kilts has ended and there is no more show episode in sight.

But I'm still in the throes of Hallmark films, because reasons LOL.

To be fair I've sort of picked out my favourites from the lineup they have this year, and I will say I think said lineup is actually much shorter and the choices narrower because of the pandemic, but it might just be my imagination.

In any event, however, there does seem to be less to choose from, and I choose every other weekend or so.

Mostly because this year has been a disappointment in movie choices, to say the least. Hallmark is either losing its magic for me or something else is happening! Who knows.

I'm just not as enamoured with everything as much as I used to be, though I will admit that there are still exceptions.

I just can't decide where Don't Go Breaking My Heart falls.

Talkie Tuesday: Matching Hearts

"Don't put off being happy."

Hello everyone!

As you know, I have this thing about Hallmark.

As in, I like to watch their movies.

I have, however, found I need to dial back a little and only pick the ones that feature cast I know from previous projects, which may sound limiting given that I'm sure others, of whom I don't know any of the cast, are just as wonderful.

But at some point you just have to draw a line, I guess!

Tonight I'm going to be talking about a new little pet project Hallmark launched just for Valentine's, a series of movies under the title Love Ever After, which only premiered this year as something new they're trying. This includes a full month of Valentine-themed movies for viewers to enjoy.

I won't be doing a full review of ALL four of the movies from the series because, like I said, I kind of need a breather every now and again, but I did tune in to this weekend's choice.

So open up that box of chocolates, because Matching Hearts is up next.

Talkie Tuesday: Christmas at the Plaza

"Nothing unimportant ever happens at the Plaza."

Hello everyone!

Here we are with our third Christmas movie review since December started, where did the time go? I honestly feel as if it's zipping along like we're in some sort of race to the finish line. I'm probably going to blink and it's going to go from 2019 to 2020.

Meanwhile, you gotta do what you gotta do, right?

So here we go with another Hallmark Christmas movie because, well, why not?

They've certainly done much better this year than in several years past, although granted I also haven't watched every single movie they've churned out. There's bound to be weak links in the chain because of the quantity of them.

But the ones I HAVE watched, so far at least, have generally been very enjoyable. Sure there might have been one or two that could have done a bit better, but all that aside, as a general rule, this has been a pretty good Christmas countdown so far.

And since I'm all about the good vibes, why don't we head on to probably the most well-known holiday location in New York? Christmas at the Plaza is up next.

Talkie Tuesday: A Summer Romance

"Live each day with courage, take pride in your work;

Talk less, say more, and always finish what you start."

Hello everyone!

I may have to apologise in advance, but I think there's going to be an influx of Hallmark movie channel reviews on this blog for a little bit. I've sort of made a mini list of all the stuff I want to see from their lineup this summer, and I started yesterday so I figure I might as well put my viewing to good use.

Of course, not everyone is going to enjoy this, just like not everyone is going to enjoy the fact that Hallmark is pushing out a new movie pretty much every week.

The thing is, when you have such a massive amount of media, there's bound to be some repetition along the way.

It might have happened in my choice for yesterday's movie night as well, though at the very list I picked a new production seeing as it only aired this weekend, but I didn't get the chance to watch it until yesterday, sadly.

And since it's still summer, why not settle for A Summer Romance?
