Talkie Tuesday: Around the World with Willy Fog

"We'll set a new world record!"

Hello everyone!

Ready to go on an adventure tonight?

Because we're about to travel around the world.

And no, we aren't going to take forever doing it, nor are we going to jet around in, like, 24 hours or something, the way some influencers online tend to do it.

We're going to be doing it in 80 solid days.

You probably already know where this might be going, but it's not ACTUALLY a Jules Verne thing, even though he's the one who originally wrote the book.

No no, this is an adaptation, and a really fun one to boot, because - and get this - it's animated with animals acting as characters, and an entire 600+ minutes series is condensed to roughly over 70 minutes, making it immediately watchable in one sitting.

So without further ado: Around the World with Willy Fog!

Tome Thursday: The Charmed Coin Mystery

Hello everyone!

So after the mammoth of the post that ended up happening on Tuesday, I decided to do something a little lighter this Thursday for my book choice of the week.

And when I need something like this, I usually always return to one of two preferred authors!

You always have to have some in your back pocket that will help you in times like this.

Especially when you don't want to spend yet another two to three hours typing and editing and padding up a post! Hah.

Honestly though, it's not that I mind. It's that I slept horribly tonight (I only got a solid five hours, and the rest was definitely fragmented until I just gave up) and I feel like it's going to be a long ass day without a lot to show for it in the end.

Which means I'm going to try not to complicate my life even more while I'm at it.

Without further ado, then, let's hop straight into the next mystery our favourite rapscallion girl Twyla ends up in.

Ladies and gentlemen: The Charmed Coin.

Talkie Tuesday: Pursuit of Jade

"Be a good pig in this life; be a good man in the next."

Hello everyone!

Welcome back.

Sorry for a bit of delay on Tuesday's reviews, I took last week off because there were other things happening (as said before, it was a special day!) and now I return with a MAMMOTH of a thing.

There's no way it's not going to be.

Not with the show being 40 episodes long, and each episode covering so much ground it sometimes feels like they're trying to shove a book into 40 minutes, each.

And in all honesty I fell into the hole completely by accident!

Netflix kept shoving the promo for it right on the front page. Eventually, I decided you know what? FINE, I'll watch.

I've since already breezed through twice. And the rest, as they say, is history.

So let's take a look at it together in Pursuit of Jade!

Tome Thursday: Heartstrings

Hello everyone!

Welcome back to the blog.

I know I skipped this Tuesday, but that's because it was my birthday.

I decided to sleep in and just laze about for the day, which, can confirm, was a GRAND idea all in all.

And then today it's back to the drawing board.

Especially since we're gearing for the release of book two in this series.

Kes Winters is an author I randomly stumbled on when I was looking through BookSirens, and I picked up one of her fairytale-inspired romances, but it turns out she writes COWBOY romance, too.

And she does it REAL good, y'all!

Ahem.

Without further ado, let's step right into this world: in Heartstrings.

Tome Thursday: Ghost Trip

Hello everyone!

Back at it again with the coziest mysteries you could find on the internet, and in your bookstores, because what else will you read when you need something relaxing to unwind with?

Listen, Dina Marie knows how to write these, okay, and she's NOT giving up.

There's two more that are releasing this year (at least), and that's super exciting to me as someone who found the author completely by accident on Booksirens one day.

I was captivated by the idea that this woman, who's been in an abusive marriage, can see and speak to ghosts, and she ends up helping them pass on.

... sounds very Ghost Whisperer, doesn't it?

Can you tell I grew up watching these shows LOL

But enough about that!

Let's dive right into the story of Ghost Trip.

Talkie Tuesday: Outlander Final Season

"Sing me a song of a lass that is gone ...

Hello everyone!

Well, we did it.

Twelve years ago, Starz decided to premiere a time-travelling show that was a big risk at the time, because it would have to compete with titans like Game of Thrones, and yet somehow, somewhere, someone decided that this was a great idea.

And it paid off.

Because since then, for eight seasons, fans around the globe have watched the unfolding drama around Jamie and Claire Fraser with baited breath, willing them to succeed in their endeavours, and supporting all the other characters around them in some way or fashion.

That all came to an end this past weekend, with the airing of the very final episode.

If you've been a long-time fan, or if you only came into the show (binging it, really) recently, then I bid you welcome all the same. Because we'll be taking a look at the final season tonight, saying goodbye to our beloved characters.

Ladies and gentlemen, one last time: Outlander.

Tome Thursday: The Crimson Sword Mystery

Hello everyone!

And we're back in the world of an alternate, somewhat steampunk-y adventure of one of my favourite characters of all time.

I also LOVE the author's writing style, so I mean, it's a win however you look at it.

I accidentally found Byrd Nash on BookSirens what feels like forever ago, and have since absolutely devoured her Madam Chalamet series, which means I'm absolutely loving and thriving going through the Morpheus Society one right now.

The fourth book actually JUST released last week, as well, and the best part?

These are all relatively short stories, they're not so complicated that you can't easily follow along through one sitting, and the characters are all very animated, very picturesque, and absolutely hilarious when they have the chance to be so.

Which is ... most of the time. LOL.

The best humour comes from unintended moments, after all, and I feel like Byrd Nash manages that VERY well.

So without further ado: The Crimson Sword Mystery!

Talkie Tuesday: The Princess and the Pirate

"Long live Sandokan!

Hello everyone!

Boy, do I have a treat for you tonight.

An oldie but a goldie, so to speak.

Every once in a while I lean into the nostalgia factor and vibes here on this blog, especially and particularly because I tend to like diving into it myself personally as well.

So that's what I did with tonight's movie choice.

I also find it incredibly pointed to be talking about a movie from the nineties that was actually really good in comparison to some modern stuff circulating nowadays, while we all talk about Nolan's upcoming Odyssey, which looks ... well, the scope sure looks epic, but the individual details aren't what reaches the OG Troy, even a little bit.

We'll see about that, eventually.

God knows what that's going to look like.

For now we're headed into the land of piracy once more, with The Princess and the Pirate!

Tome Thursday: Firebird

Hello everyone!

So I have a confession to make.

I had another book lined up and ready to go for tonight. In all honesty, I generally have my posting schedule for this blog handled WELL in advance, because I tend to read a lot, and when you read a lot, you have a list so you keep track of everything.

This means that, when something shoots into it like a comet from the sky, you need to adjust, and FAST.

I was going to go for a short and sweet kind of story, but that one now got bumped to next week.

Tonight's choice blazed into life over the course of this weekend when I sat down and was like, alright, fair, let's see what this is all about since people are talking about the sequel all over BookTok at this point.

Not that I follow a lot of BookTok, but it sometimes bleeds into my Youtube and Bookstagram, of course.

Without further ado, it's time to travel to the past, fling some magic into the air, and pretend that we know what we're doing with this shape-shifting thing.

That's Juliette Cross' Firebird for you.

Talkie Tuesday: Disney Princess Villains Unite

"Evil is here.

 Hello everyone!

In continuing with last week's theme, we're taking a look at the direct sequel to the Castle Quest animated feature.

And before you come at me after you open the thing up and see its short length: I wanted to feature it solo because I thought it's hilarious, ok?

Even though it's barely half what the OG special is long.

But anyway.

The Disney Princesses are back, people! And so is Gaston.

And they've got a new adventure ahead of them, or perhaps misadventure, so without further ado let's see exactly what they're up against.

Because you just know it's gonna be great when it says the title is Villains Unite!

Tome Thursday: The Architects of Control

Hello everyone!

I have a treat for you tonight, and a slightly different style of blog than you might be used to from me.

Because tonight's book of choice hasn't been released yet - it's coming this June.

And I don't want to give anything away too soon!

But equally I want you to WANT to read it, so here's my attempt at putting together some cohesive enough writing that will hopefully entice enough for you to pick the actual book once it officially drops.

I mean, what could possibly go wrong?!?

HAH.

Anyway, enough of the chit-chat. You know I like me some political shenanigans in a book no matter when or where - I've read plenty of this stuff, and I probably still will.

So you shouldn't be surprised that tonight's book of choice is one of that genre.

Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to the stage: The Architects of Control!

Talkie Tuesday: Disney Princess Castle Quest

"The path will be clear if you search inside.

Hello everyone!

In a slight deviation from my usual watch lists, I went with something light, fluffy, and quick to see through yesterday.

And also, I had TONS of fun while I was at it haha!

Disney tends to come up with some really great skits every once in a while.

When they pair it up with LEGO? Oh then you've got yourself something SPECIAL.

I've covered a bunch of Star Wars-related ones on this page before, but this is the first time I'm seeing something with the Disney Princesses, and boy was it fun to go through.

I mean, when you have a frying pan, an axe, and a key as weapons all tangled together in a quest to beat Gaston .. let's just say it'll make sense once you finish reading this.

Without further ado: LEGO Disney Princess Castle Quest!

Tome Thursday: New Beginning

Hello everyone!

A little novella for you tonight.

I tend to read pretty much anything I can get my hands on, but this one's kind of special.

This one returns to the world of Jackson's Bridge!

In case you don't remember, that's the fictional community author Angela Day is currently in the process of writing about, and we're headed straight back into it.

This is a short story that hasn't officially released yet, but then again it's not exactly connected to the main novels in the way you'd think.

It's in the same world, but it isn't about the same characters.

We're getting more of the surrounding arcs fleshed out, and I'm here for it!

So come along for the ride in New Beginning.

Tuesday, 21 April 2026

Talkie Tuesday: Mardaani 2

"Every woman goes through the test of fire every day."

Hello everyone!

I have a treat for you tonight.

It's quite a potentially disturbing one, however, so please read with caution.

Because apparently, I stumbled upon cinematic masterpieces that STILL somehow manage to describe situations that should be brought to light much more often.

I'm truly a fan of those types of things.

Which means that, tonight, we're headed back to India and its Bollywood industry.

I promise that's definitely not all I watch (I'm currently obsessed with Pursuit of Jade, for example), but it's certainly a massive portion of what I DO watch for entertainment sake.

And when I find a niche I like, I tend to stick to it, because it usually has a lot to give me.

Which is why we're continuing with a movie series, and heading into Mardaani 2.

Tome Thursday: The Last Gospel

Hello everyone!

Returning to my beloved Jack Howard series tonight.

And when I say beloved, I mean it.

I think I read the first six books front to back countless times, loving every single adventure Jack and Kostas ended up in. When I finally got the chance to own the books outright, I LEAPED.

I didn't even double check the landing.

I just did.

Now my mission is to gather them all here on the blog for your reading pleasure, because I understand some might not have the time for the books in full, some might not know about them, and some need reminders before going into the next one.

That's okay, I gotchu!

We won't stall anymore at all, but dive straight down into the depths of this mystery that's about to unfold before us: The Last Gospel.

Talkie Tuesday: Padmaavat

"War in the name of beauty."

Hello everyone!

Back to Bollywood tonight.

Honestly, I'm pretty pleased with myself.

A while ago I made a list of movies I really want to watch, and I've so far managed to trim it down to only a few left!

Of course I also keep adding new ones as Netflix adds them to their movie library, but that's obviously a problem for another day LOL.

Still, when the streamer gave me advance warning that THIS particular movie was about to launch on their service, I was stoked.

It was definitely on my list! And now I could watch it with subtitles and not have to worry about sync and whatnot.

So hold on to all you hold dear, lest someone take it: it's time to head back to historical India in tonight's epic, Padmaavat.

Tome Thursday: Stay Until Sunrise

Hello everyone!

Long time no see with one of these, eh?

But here we are again.

As if I could ever NOT have a Serenity Woods book on my blog every now and then!

It just so happens that she's a wonderful contemporary romance writer that's still going strong, even after writing as many books as she has.

And she's got a brand new, sizzling romance coming out VERY soon, that has nothing to do with the particular series I'm going to talk about tonight, but it's still going to be exciting.

I mean, it'll have a billionaire and there'll be surprise babies and the works.

You know how it goes. But it'll be done RIGHT this time!

Enough of that. Let's jump into what we've got going tonight, shall we?

It's time to Stay Until Sunrise.

Talkie Tuesday: Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special

"Hey, you, it's younger you;
When you're standing on the stars,
Just don't forget who you are ...
"

Hello everyone!

I'm finally back after the insanity that was Easter - I mean, I love the holiday, don't get me wrong, and it's a great chance to spend some quality time with family, but, in all seriousness ...

It's exhausting.

LOL.

Plus, when you're working at the bakery, you're guaranteed to lose at least part of your marbles over the three days leading up to it.

Thankfully this is now over, we have plenty frozen goodies, and it's now time to finally just get back on the grind and do what needs to be done!

In this case, that would be the blogs of course.

So without further ado - we're celebrating tonight.

We get the best of both world, baby, with the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special.

Tome Thursday: Knight's Fire

Hello everyone!

Welcome to tonight's blog post.

I was incredibly lucky to be chosen for an ARC of this book, and, honestly? I really, really hope more people pick it up.

It's not just the fact that the writer writes SO GOOD (which, she does, believe me), but it's the story she tells.

The stories she's already told.

I have to go back and read the previous two books in the series, as, of course, I literally stumbled into it at the end LOL, or middle, really, but that'll come in time.

Tonight, we'll be talking about number three in the series.

And yes, you can actually read it without needing to have read the first two, which is a rarity these days. Normally, authors will say you can, but by the time you get to it, you realize nope, you have no clue. This one isn't like that.

So sharpen those swords, and let's get on with Knight's Fire.

Tuesday, 24 March 2026

Talkie Tuesday: Lady and the Tramp

"And they call it bella notte ..."

Hello everyone!

Welcome to tonight's blog post.

As you can see, I've moved away from Bollywood yet again (though you can always count on the fact I'll get back to it at some point, my list of movies that I still haven't watched is long, but distinguished haha). This time though, I've gone in the opposite direction and right into the golden era of animation.

Aka, the Walt Disney one.

Say what you want about the man - and opinions are certainly divided - but his company knew how to make movies back in the day.

They didn't even need to be all that complicated either, as we're about to witness.

All you really needed was a couple of protagonists, a very realistic situation, and boom you had a story.

Even if the main characters were dogs - or possibly BECAUSE of that.

We're heading back to the 1950s in Lady and the Tramp.

Tome Thursday: The Death Ring Mystery

Hello everyone!

Welcome back to our deliciously steampunk-y and fun world of ghost talkers!

Yep, you read that bit right.

We covered the FULL series by Byrd Nash before on this blog, but we've now spun out to the spin-off that she's releasing at the moment.

I say this even as the latest release, the third in the row, is supposed to hit shelves on March 24.

Mark those calendars, people!

Lots of bookish stuff is happening then.

But before we get to THAT, we have to first chew our way through this little mystery.

And boy, it's one of those ridiculously FUN ones.

Buckle up, don't put any strange rings on your fingers, and let's take a look at what's happening in The Death Ring Mystery.

Tuesday, 17 March 2026

Talkie Tuesday: Avatar

"I see you."

Hello everyone!

Welcome back to the blog.

This week, we're taking a little break from Bollywood so that I can backtrack to some other favourites I have.

To be honest, I'm actually going to be diving into Disney again pretty soon, if I'm looking at some of my scribbled notes correctly, er, reading them I mean, though it does look like chicken scratch.

But before that, we have to go back.

And I mean, WAY back.

Seventeen years back, to be exact, which is ... something. Then again, the LOTR trilogy is hitting those 20 year milestones, and I'm sitting here like WUUUUUT.

Without further ado, let's go back in time, back into space, and back into sci-fi, bby!

There's more than one movie now but, back then, it was only the one Avatar.

Tome Thursday: Captivated by Dominik

Hello everyone!

Welcome.

Welcome back to the world of Sziveria, the post-apocalyptic situation people find themselves in when they read Sarah Westill's novels.

If you've been following me on this blog for a bit, then you'll know I've pretty much devoured every single Gen-Heirs book that's come out from under her pen, or, keyboard I suppose.

Because despite the fact that I stumbled into the world completely by accident, thinking it was going to be more romance than adventure, I ended up falling head-over-heels, and literally scrambling to get copies of the books as they were releasing.

My next goal this year is to grab them all so I have them ready at a moment's notice and sitting pretty on my shelves! So, you know, challenge accepted haha.

But until then, I'll just be reading the e-book versions.

And the new series is now hard-launched into orbit, so here we go.

Welcome back to Sziveria, and to the Ralston clan, with Captivated by Dominik!

Talkie Tuesday: Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

"Love is friendship."

Hello everyone!

Yes, I'm still in my Bollywood era.

No, I don't particularly care if this bothers anyone.

I'm finding it hard to get back into any other movie because these ones are just so entertaining for the most part, and also visually stunning! To say nothing of the acting chops on these stars, DUH.

So I'm slowly working my way through the list I've accumulated on Netflix so that I can confidently say I've seen everything that needs seeing.

Which does of course mean I VERY often run into none others than Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, who seem to have been everywhere in an era of Hindi cinema that people look back on with fondness and nostalgia.

I mean, they even got a statue in the UK not too long ago! Talk about history.

Without further ado, let's hop right into tonight's installment, then, titled Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.

Tome Thursday: Poison Petals

Hello everyone!

Welcome to tonight's book of choice.

And oh MAN is it a GOOD one!

So a while back in 2025, I joined this cute little ARC team - for Ms Lea Rose.

This was after I read Where We Burn, which introduced me to Hot Daddy Cowboy Christian Crawford and convinced me that I need to switch religions so I can worship at that altar.

I'm only partially joking.

But I've had the honour and privilege to read several more of Ms Rose's books, and pretty much all of them have been absolute bangers, so I wasn't even all that worried going into this one.

Did I not quite feel 100% about the beginning part of this duet? Yes.

But the ending one? Oh it's absolute magic.

Let's stop talking about the trappings and go straight into Poison Petals.

Tuesday, 3 March 2026

Talkie Tuesday: Mardaani

"This is India!"

Hello everyone!

Welcome back to another one of those moments where you probably look at the blog and go 'oh heck, she's doing it again'.

Because yes, yes I am!

I can never stay away from Bollywood for long.

I mean, I'm still not quite over the last movie I watched, but that's beside the point, as right now, tonight, I'm picking one of the newer ones.

And one of the ones with a female lead I absolutely ADORE.

Rani Mukerji is just -chef's kiss- I have to watch more of her work. She's amazing.

So without further ado, let's hop right into the drama of tonight's movie of choice.

Because that's what we're getting with Mardaani.

Tome Thursday: Ghost Overboard

Hello everyone!

Welcome back to the blog.

For tonight's book of choice, we're picking a series that's been ongoing for a bit, but always seems to keep fresh no matter which one you choose to read!

I've been a fan of Dina Marie's work since I accidentally stumbled upon Going Ghost, and I've loved the rest of the books ever since.

I'm sure plenty of people out there will argue with me and say these books are short, bring nothing to the table, and are much too simple to be considered proper sleuthing ones.

I disagree!

It doesn't always have to be a crime so deep you need to bring out Holmes or Poirot.

Sometimes, all you need is logical thinking, a little bit of luck, and a ghostly companion while you're at it.

So let's check that out in Ghost Overboard.

Talkie Tuesday: A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms

"In the name of the Warrior, I charge you to be brave;

In the name of the Father, I charge you to be just;

In the name of the Mother, I charge you to defend the innocent."

Hello everyone!

Welcome.

Welcome, welcome, back to the continent of Westeros, and the stories and (mis)adventures that happen to take place within it.

Now, I've by this point made my peace with the fact Martin will absolutely never finish his A Song of Ice and Fire series. That's cool, that's great, let's move along now.

And yes, season 8 was basically trash and we're not here to talk about it again.

House of the Dragon returns for its third season this summer, but IN THE MEANTIME, we get to talk about our very favourite hedge knight!

Buckle up, grab those spears, make sure your shields are strong and reinforced enough, and then find the nearest snorting charger, because we're about to enter a tournament, and boy, will you need all the luck you can get to survive it.

The first season of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, everybody!

Tome Thursday: The Blood Locket Mystery

Hello everyone!

Welcome back to the blog.

I'm finally climbing out of the hole that is our Mardi Gras, which we celebrated just this week, and for which the bakery I work at produced ... insane amounts of sweet treats, let's put it that way.

So we're FINALLY now entering more normal stages again, and I don't feel like I'm drowning anymore.

Instead, I get to enjoy some really, really good books.

Among them is this one.

I actually read it much sooner than it's making the debut here on the blog, but I just couldn't get to it sooner.

Too many books, too little time.

Now, at last, here we are back in Byrd Nash's imaginary world where ghosts run around and ghost talkers try to lasso them back, and one apprentice finds herself on her own for a mysterious case.

That's what we get in The Blood Locket Mystery!

Tome Thursday: Elemental Awakening

Hello everyone!

Welcome.

Welcome to tonight's book of choice, which landed in my lap literally forever ago and completely at random - so random, in fact, that I can't even remember how!

Although I have vague recollections of finding a post asking for ARC readers for it, and applying thinking that it was never going to happen, yet here I am.

Having read the ARC, backed the Kickstarter project, and now seeing the book release into the world.

Because yes, it's release week, bby!

The official published prints went live February 9, and it has been a WILD ride. It's only getting better too, because the second book is coming this summer, there's a novella focusing on a fan favoured side character slated for autumn ... it's a good time to be in this world, is what I'm saying.

So buckle up, get your fingers all flexed and ready, sharpen those swords, and dust off ye ole leathers from our Empyrean drought; here there be dragons!

Let's walk with them in Elemental Awakening.

Tuesday, 10 February 2026

Talkie Tuesday: Sikandar

"No one is above the law."

Hello everyone!

Welcome to this week's movie of choice.

And boy, is it a GOOD one.

Of course, if you look at IMDB or any of the movie critics' sites, you'll probably think this stinks to high hell and won't ever touch it.

I've learned not to trust those evaluations, because more often than not my personal taste will diverge WILDLY from what the world says you should or shouldn't like. It always comes down to what YOU personally want.

And this one is beautiful, with a soulful story that made me cry at least three times (but who's counting?!?).

Buckle up, then, grab some tissues, and of course your favourite snacks, because we'll be running into Bollywood at full-speed.

It's time for Sikandar.

Tome Thursday: Lily & Thorne

Hello everyone!

Welcome to this week's book of choice.

Now if you've been following me for a bit, you might remember that this title seems familiar to some extent.

Perhaps you're thinking: have I seen this before?

Have you?

Well, turns out, you have!

Originally published as part of an anthology, this particular novella got expanded upon, rewritten, and re-published!

And, because I'm a good soul like that - and also, because Rhi Hargadon is an absolute ANGEL - I'm here to write a quick review about this new version of the tale.

Without further ado: Lily & Thorne!

Talkie Tuesday: The Mysterious Affair at Styles

"Perhaps one day, when this terrible war is ended,

we shall work again together, eh?

And Poirot will explain it all to you."

Hello everyone!

My, but it's been a WHILE since I've done one of these.

It's a shame really, because this piece tonight happens to be part of one of my all-time favourite series ever made, and I'm talking EVER.

There is nothing out there that can compare to it.

Basically, I'm someone who grew up watching Jeremy Brett play his way through Sherlock Holmes stories, then once I was old enough, I switched to this.

But apparently all I've ever done have been snippets and vague looks into the series, which won't do!

It's time to be more serious about it, possibly even gotta-catch-em-all serious.

So without further ado, let's hop straight into The Mysterious Affair at Styles.

Tome Thursday: Midnight Bargain

Hello everyone!

It's been a bit since I started this trilogy of books from Serenity Woods, and while it actually already concluded well before 2025 ended, I simply couldn't fit it into my review schedule otherwise.

So here we are tonight.

And I mean, you KNOW I'll be reviewing a Serenity Woods book any chance I get, right?

Obviously.

I love her romance stories, the realness of them, the obstacles she writes so cleverly, but most importantly the way she writes her couples, who never do the dramatic Hallmark-y thing but actually behave like real people in real situations.

THAT's the draw for me, and why I keep coming back for more.

... well, that and all her hot billionaire men LOL.

Without further ado, let's wrap up Midnight Billionaires, shall we, since we're starting a new series soon enough? Here's Midnight Bargain.

Talkie Tuesday: Percy Jackson and the Olympians

"The War has started. A Great Stirring is underway."

Hello everyone!

Welcome to the next installment in our Greek mythology adaptation saga which began a few years back with Disney acquiring rights to adapt these books in the first place.

Now, I'm not here to talk about what's good or bad or whatever, although I'll definitely touch on some of those things, but I'm mostly just here to give you a rundown of how the second season unfolded, what you can watch happen during it, and what to expect going forward.

But to do that, we actually have to dive INTO the story.

You can't really do a review without talking about exactly what you've been alluding to now, can you??

So without further ado.

Sharpen those weapons, demigods, and wake up, because it's time to pick a side. Will you fight for order or for chaos? And no, this isn't Assassin's Creed.

This is the second season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians.

Tome Thursday: Of Sky and Sea

Hello everyone!

Welcome back to the blog.

Tonight's book of choice is just over one month in the world today! So congrats to it, and the author, because that's an amazing feat.

I'd actually read a copy of this book way back in December, but didn't get a chance to talk about it on here much at all, because I was too busy with other books, and of course, the Christmas thing that I have going on here.

But now I finally can, so here we are.

Let's dive into prophecies, angels, demons, vampires, the works.

There's a whole lot of fantasy characters all bopping around in here, and of course there's a prophecy that will probably make you want to cry your eyes out.

Without further ado, here we go, then.

Talkie Tuesday: Tiger Zinda Hai

"We cannot let politics get in the way of humanity."

Hello everyone!

Back to Bollywood I go - of course, what else is there? - to continue where we left off last week.

Last week, if you remember, we took a look at the first movie of the YRF Spy Universe, although at the time it wasn't actually that. Turns out, the Powers That Be decided only after tonight's choice and WAR aired that they're going to connect it all and come full circle.

I mean, if it's not baroque, amirite?

But regardless.

For us, now, this is the second movie in the spyverse, and I have to admit that it's the first ACTUAL spy movie in the universe that brings all the cards to the table: action, nail-biting suspense, a sprinkle of romance, and a good dose of humour so you don't end up flatlining out of pure boredom.

So without further ado, get those fancy scarfs out.

It's time we take a look at Tiger Zinda Hai.
