Talkie Tuesday: Damsel

"This is the end of your story."

Hello everyone!

Welp, just as soon as I'm like 'Hey I'm on time with something for once!'

I then turn around and realize I'm historically late, yet again, with something else entirely.

I mean, at this point, it's a given and a trend really LOL.

I wasn't all that keen on this movie when it first released back in 2024, not for any other reason than I just wasn't feeling it at the time.

But it popped up on my suggestions recently and it has a decent enough length that I don't have to sacrifice years of my life to sitting in front of the television screen, so I figured, why not?

I like Millie when she's playing Enola, so it stands to reason I'm probably going to like her in other roles of hers (even though I've never seen Stranger Things).

So without further ado, let's travel to some fantasy land nobody knows about, and see whether or not we could have saved ourselves as cleverly as Millie did in Damsel.

Talkie Tuesday: Christmas Wedding Planner

"Love you muchly."

Hello everyone!

Okay, hear me out.

Yes, I know it isn't December yet when I usually begin with my Christmas blog posts, but this one is even less Christmas-y than my Saturday random post, I promise!

It definitely has the title for it, but it does not actually have the plot to back it up.

It's still funny however and at the end of it all it's a 'what just happened' kind of thing, which is basically all you need in the long run.

I honestly would have watched something else if not for the two main cast members, but I have a soft spot for both and so, here I am with a blog post ready and rearing to go so that we can have a look at this particular Netflix flick.

Oh yeah, Netflix has gotten in on the Christmas market niche. And this could be extra funny in the long run.

Talkie Tuesday: Enola Holmes

"To be a Holmes, you must find your own path."

Hello everyone!

So my original plan for this week's blog post for Tuesday was to follow up the previous one about Mulan with our all-time favourite, the 1998 version, but something else happened and the plan went right off the rails.

Kind of like jumping off a train!

Here's the thing.

I forgot Netflix was premiering their new movie about Sherlock Holmes' younger sister last week.

I know, I know, I should have ACTUALLY been paying attention, but sadly my mind's been all over the place, so while I clocked into the trailer and the date, I didn't realize the date was REALLY just around the corner!

And there you have it. Paying attention is everything, kids.

Which means that the Mulan cartoon is unfortunately getting bumped right along. Because without further ado, allow me to introduce yet another member of the prodigiously talented Holmes family: Enola Holmes.
