Today's a very special day, because, unlike my ordinary blog posts, this one's going up EXACTLY ON TIME.

 

Because it's release day, baby!

 

The book we're about to talk about JUST went live around the globe, and man oh MAN am I looking forward to others picking it up and reading it!

 

I stumbled over this author completely by accident through her shifter romances (and well, there might have been an age gap, her ex's father type of deal involved ... oops ...), but seeing her transition to contemporary has been absolutely beautiful.

 

She's such a sweetheart, too! Kes Winter is someone you should totally follow on social media if you have the chance.

 

But now I'm babbling, so without further ado, congratulations to this release tonight!

 

Let's hear a round of applause for Heartland.

 

Tome Thursday: Decked, Wrecked and Pucked

 

Hello everyone!

 

Welcome to the first of the Christmas books that will be featured here on this blog during the month of December.

 

And boy, have I got a zinger for you!

 

Honestly, I don't know how I haven't run around in circles talking about it.

 

It's the perfect length for the season, it's got a heck of a lot of steamy, spicy scenes, it's got some ice hockey thrown into the mix, and it's got those angsty, perfect feels that'll get you all up there while you're working through everything with the characters along the way.

 

If I haven't mentioned already, the book is written by Lea Rose.

 

Also, if I haven't mentioned already, Lea Rose might just be one of my new all-time favourite contemporary authors. She just has this way with words and writing YEARNING that it's beautiful to witness.

 

So kick back, relax, and get ready to be Decked, Wrecked and Pucked.

 

Tome Thursday: Holiday Hat Trick

 

Hello everyone!

 

Can you believe there's almost only a week left for this calendar year?

 

I can't.

 

Time has LITERALLY flown by, and it's something that I haven't been able to really fathom, or figure out how to slow the entire thing down if I'm being honest with myself.

 

And now I'm staring at the end of the year and thinking 'where did the time go?'

 

But aside from that, we do in fact have another holiday story to look through, and it's another one about second chances.

 

Holiday ones usually are, come to think of it. People seem to be in a forgiving mood.

 

And in this one I return to the love of ice hockey while I'm at it, because I miss reading books on the topic. I may need to do some digging and find others in the genre again!

 

For now though, Holiday Hat Trick will just have to do the job twice as hard.

 

Tome Thursday: Mistletoe Misconduct

 

Hello everyone!

 

This week we're taking a bit of a walk down memory lane, if I'm being honest.

 

And I feel like I might have to go back and re-read the entire series from the beginning!

 

See, a while back, I ran into this book called Breakaway, by author Catherine Gayle. It wouldn't have caught my eye at all if not for the fact that it was a book about ... ice hockey.

 

I know, I know. I know what you're thinking.

 

What does ice hockey have to do with ANYTHING?

 

Turns out, rather a lot.

 

Because Ms Gayle wrote not only an (almost) whole series about an ice hockey team, but she included a couple of Christmas books in the lineup, too.

And because I really, really love the series as a whole, to the point where we've gotten at least, I decided to post about them on here.

We're starting with Mistletoe Misconduct.

Tome Thursday: Neutral Zone

Hello everyone!

First book blog of the year, and all of a sudden I've realized that I've become pretty dependent on my e-reader. Most of the newer releases are much easier to get a hold of in the electronic versions, which means that, until further notice (and because I was silly and didn't write down as many book reviews as I could have in my little sheepy notebook) I'm going to have to fall back on my physical book cache (which, admittedly, is still pretty formidable).

This doesn't mean anything, really, in terms of these blogs, because I am DETERMINED to keep them going regardless. 

And also by the time I need more new releases for this blog I'll probably already have bought a new e-reader or gotten my old one to work again, so there.

For this particular post I chose a book I read during the Christmas holiday season but never actually got around to putting it on here because ... well, Christmas! But I have to say that it's a part of one of my all-time favourite series, by a favourite author, as well.

I'm talking about Neutral Zone, by Catherine Gayle.
