Talkie Tuesday: Season Finales

"Who's turn is it, anyway?"

Hello everyone!

This week's blog post is going to be slightly different as I forgot, just a tiny bit, about a promise I made to write it all out once the regular shows in season through the year came to a close. Well, they've certainly been on hiatus now, and still no post from me!

You'd think by now I'd learn to actually make note of what I should or shouldn't write.

Nope. Not me.

In any event, after reliving through Pirates 5 in the beginning of the week, it's time to turn my attentions somewhat closer to the smaller screens again. This post will not, in fact, delve into all the details about what happened during each season finale I'll be talking about, but it will certainly give you enough information to go look them up if you feel inclined to watch, and haven't already!

Come to think of it I may rewatch some of them, just because they were so amazing ...

Talkie Tuesday: Grease Live

"Grease is the word!"

Hello everyone!

You're the one that I want! Those Magic Changes! Hopelessly Devoted to You! Summer Nights! And a bunch of other songs that if I name them I'll be singing along to in my sleep, and I'm pretty sure my family kind of wants to have a quiet night tonight haha!

You guessed it, it's Grease time!

Ever since FOX announced it was going to be making a live rendition of the musical, I've been super excited. Grease is probably one of my favourite, all-time movies, even though I don't watch it as often as I probably could. And once news started trickling out as to who was cast in the respective roles, my anticipation shot off through the roof!

Because, I mean, this is one of the most iconic things on TV you're ever going to see, and you know they have to get it at least semi-right, considering people will be super judgy about it.

To my delight, despite the sound problems, it seems to be a success!

Saturday Snippet

Hello everyone!

So apparently, starting with next Saturday I'm going to be doing a bookshelves tour here with the Snippet blogs, as there has been some interest about that. I would have started it tonight already, but unfortunately I forgot to take pictures in daylight so they looked horrible with artificial one and I decided against it.

I'll be doing it one shelf at a time though, maybe two, depending, so it might take a bit as one entire wall in my room is dedicated to books and DVDs ... I might have issues haha.

In the meantime though, I was so thrilled with Dancing with the Stars this week! They have some really good dancers this season, and I mean ... I might just be fangirling a little over Nick Carter.

What can I say, I listened to Backstreet Boys when I was a teenager.

Talkie Tuesday: Mortdecai

"Don't imbibe the crime scene!"

Hello everyone!

Last week was a bit of a fluke, considering the fact that the whole seaside trip wasn't really something I thought would happen in the end, but it did, and so I am once again a bit behind on my blogging, but from now on I do believe it should all be in the clear!

Before I begin properly typing this blog out, however, I'd like to give a shout-out to the fact that this year's show season is officially starting again! Yeah, I'm a little bit of a dork in that matter, but Dancing with the Stars premiered last night and I'm really happy about that since it's one of my absolute favourites. What can I say, I like dance! And it's amusing, too.

Back to my blog, after watching a lot of fantasy for a couple of nights in a row, I finally decided I needed something else that wasn't going to make me remember any red capes or growing beans, so I fished out a movie I was unsure about from simply watching the trailer, since I didn't know whether it was supposed to be a comedy, a drama, a crime solving thing, or ... what?

If you're thinking about whether or not your man needs that moustache of his, you've guessed right that I'll be talking about Mortdecai.

Saturday Snippet

Hello everyone!

OKAY, I think I'm finally back for good. Like, with no other upcoming migrations southwise for this year, considering I think I spent more than a month in total by the seaside.

Which, in itself, is pretty awesome, but it does hamper on one's ability to be online!

I mean, okay, theoretically I COULD have been, but I think my phone bill would have been astronomical.

So yeah.

September being well and truly here (there was SO MUCH fog outside this morning, you wouldn't believe it), it's soon going to be show time!

I might have a slight problem with the amount of shows I watch. Can you say oops? I had to colour-coordinate so I don't mistake one for another! Also, it's much easier this way because I don't have to overthink, I just look at the schedule haha. I still need to finish Teen Wolf season 5 though ... working on it!

Are you guys excited for any shows?

Finale week, part 2

Hello everyone!

No 'Tome Thursday' tonight I'm afraid seeing as I was still catching up on the series that only finished this week, namely Dancing with the Stars and The Flash.

Let's talk dancing first. Now, last week, Derek and Nastia got eliminated, which to me was disappointing given that although I like Noah and I think he's a sweetheart, I don't think he had what it took for the finale. Also, we missed out on what would probably have been a fantastic freestyle by Derek this season, and the others were sort of lack-lustre for me. Still, I'm happy for Rumer and Val on their win, even though they were so priming the show for that, with the whole comparison to the big brother thing and mirroring what Maks had with Meryl back in season 18. Oh well, another one bites the dust!

And now The Flash. Can I just say OMG really fast? And loud? I mean ... I did NOT see that coming. Okay, first off, I didn't see the good guys actually going for Thawne's idea with the accelerator and all that, because either way HE wins, not the good guys. But I mean, drama, right? Right. I cried so bad during the goodbye scenes (Joe and Barry anyone? Anyone?!) and the scene between grown-up Barry and his mother. The FEELS! But what got me the most was Eddie. Dear, brave, heroic Eddie ... I think he was everyone's hero this week. I'm worried about the wormhole though, but we did get glimpses of what's to come, and I'm stoked because we still get to somehow see Eddie in season two. That's already been confirmed.

Also coming to a CW near you are the Legends of Tomorrow, and I can't wait for this new show season!

Synopsis Saturday: Thanksgiving and Carlton

Hello everyone!

So something apparently went wrong yesterday while I was trying to upload this blog, but oh well, I guess I'm just a couple of hours late for some even though it's been Sunday for a while on my end.

Before I forget, happy Thanksgiving to everyone across the pond who celebrates it!

Thanksgiving week also means that all the shows which I usually watch weren't airing, only the beginning kicked off but the others are coming back next week (or the week after, depending on how much of a break they're taking).

Now, to business!

Synopsis Saturday: clandestine operations, irony and John Diggle

Hello everyone!

It's Saturday, and that means the second synposis since this blog started. Luckily, this week was still full with shows, because as of the next one, a lot of them are taking a week (or two) of a break, which means I'll get some air to breathe inbetween keeping up with the lot I watch, if nothing else! It was an action-packed week on every single episode it would seem, but SO much good writing that I was sitting on the edge of my seat almost all the time. Awesome!

This week saw a newbie make its debut, so I'm going to start the review with the new kid on the block, State of Affairs.

Synopsis Saturday: dance elimination, Inhumans and religious conflicts

Hello everyone!

It's time for the first synopsis of this blog! As I've mentioned before, I watch a lot of TV shows during their regular airing schedules, although granted since I live in Slovenia I have to watch them differently than on actual TV, since we don't have the channels. I'm going to briefly review/comment on the episodes I watched this week, providing you with links to each show as I go.

Talkie Tuesay: Make Your Move

ALERT: THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS. IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN MAKE YOUR MOVE YET, READ AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION.

As promised, here is the first ever ACTUAL blog post from me, my first review! it's 'Make Your Move', an independent movie of South Korean-American origin. I watched it a little while ago but thought it would be a nice kick-start to my ramblings.

Originally, the movie was titled 'Cobu 3D', and Cobu apparently means something along the lines of 'drumming like dancing, dancing like drumming', if I caught the definition correctly when the lead female character explained it. Basically, in short, it's another modern-day version of Romeo and Juliet, set against the backdrop of New York City, and featuring some awesome dance moves.
