Tome Thursday: Dance for Daddy

Hello everyone!

Something a little less conventional from me tonight.

Or, unconventional, rather.

Then again I kind of ran across this author completely by accident, I think. I don't even fully memorize how or when I pick something up in terms of books, so this one either got me through Instagram, a recommendation, or someone on Goodreads reading it from my friends and me thinking, why not.

See, every once in a while, I pick a book up that's more smut than plot.

I call it a brain reset.

It doesn't require more from me than sitting there leafing through it, and the plot, however little of it there is, is brief enough that it doesn't make me bend over backwards to understand anything.

That's exactly what happened with tonight's book of choice.

Without further ado: Dance for Daddy.

Talkie Tuesday: The Next 365 Days

"Sometimes, the truth is complicated."

Hello everyone!

Urgh.

I kept putting this off as long as I possibly could, but when an April Fool's reminded me that there COULD be a part four, I figured I couldn't really keep away for much longer.

Then again I STILL haven't seen Episode IX so I'm really, really good at not watching things I don't want to.

This one was a so-so for me, because while I did in fact want to see the trainwreck, I knew it was going to be one and didn't think I needed it on a good weekend.

But I had some spare time this past weekend and decided, you know what? I can probably do this.

I barely could.

However I'm now all caught up which DOES say something about tenacity (or plain-ass pig-headedness) I suppose.

Because I survived The Next 365 Days. And I swear, these keep getting worse.

Synopsis Saturday: This Day

"A dark secret is the foundation of any successful relationship."

Hello everyone!

Yeah, I'm back.

No, I'm not happy about it LOL.

To be clear, I only do it out of morbid curiosity. I never would have subjected myself to this disaster otherwise, and yet, here we are.

VERY obviously you all know what I'm talking about.

I'm not entirely sure how this movie rose up to the Top Ten ranking on Netflix but ... probably boredom? What else is there???

It can't be because of stellar acting or awesome plot. None of that exists.

Could be for funny value though ... I'll give them that much.

There WAS some humour in this.

But overall, This Day, a sequel to the infamous 365 Days, is flatter than a pancake.

Talkie Tuesday: Black Money Love

"In this life, there is nothing more important than love."

Hello everyone!

Once again, I'm sort of doing something a little bit different for this week's blog post, considering the fact that I haven't reviewed a television show since the Selena series on Netflix.

BUT,

I ran into this one on television here in my country when another Turkish soap had to go on hiatus (because it's still filming and we were catching up to it with how many parts we'd aired already) and I thoroughly enjoyed watching it, despite the fact that I eventually moved to Netflix to finish it off.

See, when you have to sit through two hours plus change considering there's a whole bunch of commercials included, you'll try and find a different route.

Netflix gave me that, being so kind as to have it in its lineup, which definitely made my summer!

And so without further ado, let's check in with murder, mayhem, and money laundering, shall we?
