Tome Thursday: Trick or Treat

Hello everyone!

So alright, this book might not be the most seasonal thing I've ever done, but I just finished reading it a couple of days ago and, as seems to always be the case with books written by Serenity Woods, I loved it.

Side-note, I have a bunch of them I haven't read yet to take along with me to the seaside when I galop away for two weeks, so there you go!

Ahem.

To be frank about this book, it took me forever to find it, because for some reason or other my usual retailer just didn't seem to have any working links. I dislike not having the complete collection when it comes to books, however, so obviously I was stubborn enough to keep on pushing and ensure that I was going to have the entire lot.

After all, when it comes to books like Trick or Treat, you basically NEED the rest to go full-on steamy.

Talkie Tuesday: Signed, Sealed, Delivered To The Altar

"Maybe it's time to come home."

Hello everyone!

As a departure from my usual movie reviews I'm doing something a little bit different tonight. That's mainly because I was literally bouncing up and down in my seat yesterday while watching the subject of tonight's blog post, and yes, I do recognize that I'm weird.

Oops.

But I accidentally stumbled on this series when the DIVA channel started airing it here and the premise sounded extremely promising to me. Then I got hooked about five minutes into the pilot episode, probably because of the actors, and then of course the plot.

See, I have this motto for myself: if it makes me yawn half an hour in, I stop watching.

It never happened with these movies, however, and I think Hallmark may be on to something with this series.

I'm talking, of course, about Signed, Sealed, Delivered, and it's latest installment, To The Altar.

Tome Thursday: Talking Sense

Hello everyone!

I can finally close the lid on yet another Serenity Woods book trilogy!

I'm feeling quite proud of myself, as this one actually sat on my TBR shelf for a little while because, for some odd reason or another, I just never got around to it.

And then once I sat on my behind and paged over all the leaves, well, I realized why I keep coming back to this author.

It's not that there aren't a couple of glitches along the way, obviously.

Every author has THOSE.

It's how Ms Woods manages those glitches and ends up creating not only perfectly acceptable happily ever afters, but even more perfectly acceptable characters that are flawed but who make my heart just feel all toasty and warm inside.

Without further ado, allow me to review Talking Sense.

Talkie Tuesday: Jumanji Welcome to the Jungle

"Get me the HELL out of here!"

Hello everyone!

Time to talk about movies again.

I need to figure out a better way to introduce these blogs, but that being said, however, the point is that this is where I chatter on and on about the movie I'm going to be writing about subsequently in the post.

Now as you know, my list to catch up is still pretty much a mile long, however, I'm finally starting to make some sort of a dent in it!

And still I manage to go back and rewatch the Hobbit franchise for some reason or other ...

Ahem.

I was on a Dwayne Johnson binge it looks like, and I'm continuing it with another one of his movies soon enough, but for the time being let's start talking about this hilarious flick.

Tome Thursday: Test of Valor

Hello everyone!

Time for another book blog, and I once again reached for an author who writes stories that are very near and dear to my heart.

I mean, I never actually thought I'd see the day when I enjoy reading about gay romance, but there you have it, surprises happen everywhere and at any time!

Of course this book is probably not as high on my list as some of her others, but that doesn't mean it wasn't an enjoyable read. I tend to go through her reading material very, very quickly, which does obviously mean I need to occasionally re-read things before new releases happen.

In any event, however, this one was a first read.

It IS a sequel though, so obviously if you want to read this as a stand-alone, you can, but it'll make a lot more sense if you read the first book before it.

I'm talking about Test of Valor.

Talkie Tuesday: Baywatch

"And not a single fuck was given."

Hello everyone!

So the weather here is really not that summery at all, considering all we see are clouds and the occasional sunny day, but that hasn't ever deterred me from watching sun-filled movies while I was at it.

Which reminds me that I could probably rewatch Walking on Sunshine ... or maybe not. I have a backlog of movies as long as my arm.

In any event, for tonight's blog extravaganza I decided to go with something that I had always WANTED to watch, but never got around to doing while it was playing in cinemas, which is an absolute shame since I bet it would have looked even better on the big screen.

I mean, between the Rock's awesome muscles and Zac Efron's blue eyes, you know you have a winning combination.

I'm talking, of course, about Baywatch.
