Let's just come out and say it, shall we?

 

I slept on this one. Like, there hasn't really been anything I've slept on quite as much as this particular movie.

 

In my defense I was GOING to work it into my review schedule. Honest! Then I'm not entirely sure what happened, but I never did, and here we are.

 

Back in August, Disney+ released what was basically a movie to teach us how to let go, couched as a vacation movie, and dressed in the swimmies and flip-flops, too.

 

And to top it off, it was happening in a galaxy we all know and love, at that.

 

How do you miss that opportunity? No clue.

 

So let's have our last look at summer, shall we? LEGO Star Wars: Summer Vacation, is here to take us all away from the cold and the upcoming snow.

Hello everyone!

So I kind of realized that I didn't actually give any notice about missing blog posts or whatnot.

Oops.

My last post was made just before I travelled to the seaside for a mini vacation, and while I did in fact have internet there, I was kind of just detoxing from everything. I do realize, however, that maybe, just maybe, I could have left a word - or two.

So anyway, mea maxima culpa! And the blog posts resume normally this Tuesday.

Tome Thursday: Eight Hundred Grapes

Hello everyone!

This one is another I managed to actually read by the seaside, and I think it came hot on the heels of something science fiction related or historic or fantasy, because it's so much NOT those categories that, even though I can't remember precisely, I can see why I would have picked it.

Because, here's the thing.

I love my personal favourite reading categories, I really do. I mean, Lord of the Rings is by far and wide my favourite book EVER, and I read it once every year. But despite the amount of stuff I read, and as much fantasy as I get into, I do like something entirely non-related to that every once in a while. Like, contemporary non-related.

I will admit; I'm not a big contemporary novel reader. For some reason, I just sit better in the fantasy niche. But after following the adventures of Jamie and Claire Fraser for a thousand pages, Frodo and Sam trudging towards Mordor over five hundred, and an angel and a demon falling in love ... I definitely need a break from all of that.

Which is why I picked up Laura Dave's Eight Hundred Grapes.

Hello everyone!

I have some news.

Come tomorrow, I'm off to the seaside again for the week. I know, I know, I just got back, shocking, right? Well, the weather will be nice, there's always stuff to do, and some more relaxation down by the sea never hurt anyone.

ALSO, this time my sister is coming along. So that's a bonus!

I will see you all come Thursday/Friday once I get back again!

Hello everyone!

Obviously, I'm back from the seaside by now and completely in the game again with everything, although I still need to finish a short story I'm writing - dang it and Dwarves, they won't cooperate the way I want them too! Haha.

But I'm also doing a bunch of other stuff all around the place, and among that is looking through some photos my dad took on vacation underwater. Here's a sneak peak:
