Trying to pick just one of these three books is absolutely impossible. Why? Because unlike with so many other trilogies where there's a strong beginning and then it all fizzles out, Vera Nazarian's Cobweb Bride has a strong start-up, even stronger middle, and an iron-clad finish. I've always been a sucker for Greek mythology, and this particular retelling of the Hades and Persephone myth is an incredibly unique, mesmerizing take on a tale as old as time.

If you get the chance - look these books up. I promise you, you WON'T regret it!

Hello everyone!

Well, we made it.

Or, at least *I* made it.

The end of a trilogy that I'm still reeling about and trying to wrap my head around, because ... well, just because.

You'll see what I mean through the review itself. 

It's a very original retelling of a myth that's been dear to my heart for a long while now, and I'm SO pleased I picked up the first book when it was offered for free with Kobo. I never would have found the other two otherwise, or the author herself.

As it now happens, I'm hooked and will probably hunt down other books of hers.

When you stumble over something good, readers, you might as well make sure you read it ALL.

But for tonight, for one more night, let's dive into our inner Greek.

Hello everyone!

So two weeks back I did a blog post about a very intriguing retelling of the Persephone and Hades story from Greek Mythology.

And yes, I remember.

No, I haven't forgotten that I still have to do the second and third books in the trilogy.

I'll admit, I'm sometimes scatter-brained like that, but for this one time, I'm slightly too invested and too interested to be anything but totally sold on this, and I NEED to finish this.

I managed book two in about one day, more or less.

Sure, I technically took a break to sleep - because sadly, sleep is a must even when we don't want it to be - but I snarfed down the rest the moment I was done with my beauty regeneration and making sure the house would still be standing if I took a mini break from it.

Without further ado, let's stop with the chit-chat, shall we?

Hello everyone!

Back with the first book review of the new year, and BOY do I have a kicker for you!

I mean, to be fair, I saved it because it sort of sounded like something I might potentially enjoy, and then some, but at the time when I took it from the Kobo free book offer, I stashed it away and didn't feel like reading it quite yet.

Then after over-indulging in Christmas books and all that other gooey stuff, I needed something else to clear my head.

Oh, and I have to load Drums of Autumn again. Why did I delete it off my ereader?

I don't know, Kobo; I truly don't know.

But I digress.

Tonight's blog post is about a book that's just ... it was SO GOOD. I couldn't put it down, even though I'd spent a lot of time translating, my eyes were smarting and the letters were dancing.

But Cobweb Bride refused to let me out of her web until I got to the final dot.
