Talkie Tuesday: Jurassic World Dominion

"If we're going to survive, we'll have to trust each other."

Hello everyone!

A year after this was released in cinemas, I finally got around to watching the last entry in the Jurassic saga.

Then again, I haven't watched Episode IX yet either, and I think that one's been some time ago.

What can I say? Apparently, I sometimes need a LOT of time haha!

But I do actually love the dinosaur movies. I was a big fan back when I first accidentally stumbled over Jurassic Park on television at some point in time, and I've continued being a fan since.

Oddly enough, I also think that my parents really like the sequel trilogy as well, which can't be said about the originals because I'm reasonably sure my father was never the biggest dinosaur fan, but for some reason is okay with these three.

To each their own, right?

Without further ado, let's just jump straight in, because we've got some ground to cover. Jurassic World: Dominion has the last word to say, too.

Talkie Tuesday: Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom

"What could POSSIBLY go wrong?"

Hello everyone!

Back for another week and another movie review, and as you can see from the title, it's going to be a whopper.

Then again, any movie in which dinosaurs chase you around is bound to be.

I've had a thing for Jurassic Park since I saw the first movie, way back when. I think one of our television stations had a marathon and all three of the originals aired on the same day/night, so it was quite a treat to sit there and watch the T-Rex chomp his way across the screen.

Of course when they announced a reboot, or sequels, or whatever you'd like to call them, I was all in.

I was a little apprehensive about the nature of the sequels proper, considering you only have so many shots at a masterpiece - but I needn't have worried, because Jurassic World was honestly one of the best movies that year.

So when the time came for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (knowing they'd gotten Jeff Goldblum to do a cameo and some promo stuff), I was stoked!

Talkie Tuesday: Independence Day Resurgence

"On behalf of the people of Earth: happy Fourth of July."

Hello everyone!

This Tuesday I'm finally back with a regular movie review, and I picked a slightly older one for this post, although 'older' is certainly a subjective term.

In better words, it just isn't recent, and that's that.

But of course once the first trailers started coming in and I even realized there would be a sequel to the highly amusing and pretty awesome Independence Day where I laugh, continuously, whenever Will Smith has to drag the dread-lock alien across the desert after welcoming it to Earth, I was on the edge of my seat.

Especially as it was announced old favourites would be making a comeback to the big screen, although sadly sans Smith. I can't remember what the reasons for his decline were at the time, but we WOULD get his son, at least. Movie-wise that is.

So how about I stop jabbering and start talking about Independence Day: Resurgence instead?
