Talkie Tuesday: Solo

"A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away ..."

Hello everyone!

So.

I know.

Get it out of your system.

I'M LATE.

Yet again, I'm late to this bandwagon. In my defense, I've been pumping out reviews for both movies and books for a while now. And I still have stuff to see and to read. You have to love that, right?

Right.

That being said, however, there was just something about tonight's blog theme that caught me in a completely meh mood, and while I knew I'd eventually sit down to it, it took me about forever and a day to do so.

I mean it's almost been a full year since it's worldwide premiere!

So here we go. Solo: A Star Wars Story, begins now.

Tome Thursday: Shadows of the Empire

Hello everyone!

So a little while ago I did a blog post which only featured one image - and that was one for a trilogy of the Star Wars Expanded Universe books.

I've since learned that these books cover not only the post-original trilogy but also the era of the Old Republic, which is pre-prequel trilogy, and pretty much everything in between. I mean, I have this amazing friend who gives me all the timelines and titles so there's that.

Yup, I'm blessed.

But anyway, said friend DID recommend where I should actually start reading, and while my inner OCD beast is snarling that it wasn't with the chronologically first book, I'm pretty happy I read the book I did!

Because really, it was the best ever stepping stone into the universe.

It had everything - humour, characters we know and love, action, and some more humour!

I'm talking about Shadows of the Empire.

Talkie Tuesday: The Force Awakens

"A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away ..."

Hello everyone!

To my absolute delight I finally, FINALLY had the time to sit down and watch the movie I've been gunning for since the moment they released information about it going into production. Not only have I been a huge fan for years now, but it's a sort of return to my childhood in a way, or at least to my teenage years since I think that was when the (then) last movie came out.

Of course I could have gone to the cinema and seen it there, and I'm actually bummed that I didn't make it, because it would have been totally awesome, but then again, in the privacy of my own room, I totally had the privilege to comment out loud and do all the usual fangirl things haha!

And obviously, I was going to do a LOT of those, for reasons I have already stated.

Let's just be honest with ourselves and say that Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens was probably the most anticipated movie of last year's winter time, as much as Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice is for this year.
