Hello everyone!

After being thoroughly amused by watching The Rock serenade as Maui and his 'You're Welcome' song from Moana, I felt the need to go and watch another cartoon-style movie instead of an action flick or anything of the sort.

I'd heard about tonight's blog post theme before but never got to it.

Why?

Well, I kind of have to be in the mood, I suppose.

And then of course, I keep getting distracted during the week by the Turkish soap opera I watch, Siyah Beyaz Ask.

I know. First world problems!

But anyway.

Without further ado, let's put our warmest winter jackets on, because we're going up high in the mountains. We'll try to locate Smallfoot!

Tome Thursday: Casanova

Hello everyone!

No, this is not, in fact, a movie review, despite me knowing there's at least one or two floating around with the same title. But you can't really put a patent on a title now, can you? Which means there's bound to be different things going on under the same one!

And besides, Serenity Woods has the best titles, even if you've seen them elsewhere before.

With my helpful mug of tea at hand (it's cold outside today!) and the scent of cranberry rising in the air, I'm ready to dive right into this newest installment of her books.

Well, it's a stand-alone, obviously.

But it ties back to the first ever series I read from the author (read and loved, might I add, as I had to reread the trilogy soon after finishing this one!), and it's also a tie-in to the NEXT series she's going to be releasing, which I'd also be on the look out for if I were you.

Because what more could you possibly need than New Zealand, billionaires, New Zealand, happily ever after, and have I mentioned New Zealand yet?

As there's only a few days before the new trilogy starts its publishing race, let's get right down to Casanova.

Hello everyone!

Tonight's post is going to be slightly different to my usual ones.

Or maybe not so much, as I think I've done reviews on concert movies before, or dance movies if nothing else, because I distinctly remember doing Lord of the Dance at some point or other.

In any event, however, this one is WILDLY different, either way.

Why?

Well because, for starters, I'm not even what you'd call a fan. And before someone rises up and starts spouting and shrieking, let me say that you don't have to be a fan to watch certain things. How this came about will be explained a little bit, but first ...

First, let me say I had about zero expectations, going in.

How do you have expectations for something you have no clue about?

You don't, it's that simple, and so at the end of the day, you go, and you sit back, and then watch what's unfolding on screen.

For the BTS World Tour movie, Love Yourself in Seoul, it was no different.

No, I don't listen to them.

But yes, I did enjoy the experience.

Tome Thursday: Cobweb Empire

Hello everyone!

So two weeks back I did a blog post about a very intriguing retelling of the Persephone and Hades story from Greek Mythology.

And yes, I remember.

No, I haven't forgotten that I still have to do the second and third books in the trilogy.

I'll admit, I'm sometimes scatter-brained like that, but for this one time, I'm slightly too invested and too interested to be anything but totally sold on this, and I NEED to finish this.

I managed book two in about one day, more or less.

Sure, I technically took a break to sleep - because sadly, sleep is a must even when we don't want it to be - but I snarfed down the rest the moment I was done with my beauty regeneration and making sure the house would still be standing if I took a mini break from it.

Without further ado, let's stop with the chit-chat, shall we?

Instead, let's dive right into Cobweb Empire.

Talkie Tuesday: The Spy Who Dumped Me

Hello everyone!

Question: what do you watch when you're bored out of your head, you don't feel like really thinking hard through whatever it is you'll be watching, and you REALLY don't feel like pulling a brain muscle trying to figure it out?  

Well, if you're currently waiting for the Outlander season four finale, then you'll probably pick up something that has Sam Heughan in it.

And since it's kind of the wrong time for A Princess for Christmas (one of the more adorable things I'd watched with Sam in it), you go for something a little more up-to-date.

And then you see photos of Sam in a tux holding a gun up in a very Bond-like position.

Why hello there, handsome!

The Spy Who Dumped Me is sort of a mix-and-mash of a lot of other spy movies, incorporating all the more insane ideas (not to mention the absurd ones) and making it all seem like a lark in comparison to, say, Bond or Bourne.
