Tome Thursday: Lover Eternal

 

Hello everyone!

 

Back into the world of the Black Dagger Brotherhood we go.

 

I've finally decided to at the very least get the first run of the series on here, and I know I still have like, 5 books to read in total before the new generation takes the stage, but I've been so sucked into The Apothecary Diaries that it's been rather difficult swerving back into vampires haha!

 

But here we are.

 

Chronologically working through the second book in the series, we're going to have a look at its legendary fighter who also happens to be known for his other exploits ... namely, in the bedroom.

 

Or out of it. He isn't all that picky, ya know.

 

This is the story of how he meets the woman who changes everything for him, how he learns to accept that which he's been given, and how, at the end of the day, we all need to accept our destiny with as much grace as possible.

 

Because once we do, we may find loopholes. That's what it's essentially all about in Lover Eternal.

 

Tome Thursday: Blood Vow

Hello everyone!

Right back to the bookish section of my reviews, and I have to say I keep skipping over the reviews I have noted down in my little sheep notebook.

I mean, I'll GET to them. Eventually.

I hope.

But good books keep popping up all over the place! Which means I keep getting distracted and I keep trying to keep up, which is starting to show some wear and tear but I have to admit I'm also doing quite a good job. It pays off to be able to fall asleep reading a book, you definitely get through a lot of them in the evenings.

Anyway, I am right back into the vampire world with this one, because in December I was more than a little bit stoked to see that the new JR Ward book had been published!

I have a long-standing and abiding love for her and her Black Dagger Brotherhood series, so this spin-off was a no-brainer for me. More vampires? More Brothers? Count me the heck IN! Thank you very much.

So, without further ado, let's sink our teeth into Blood Vow.

Tome Thursday: The Beast

Hello everyone!

It's book talk time again, and I was SO stoked for the release of this one, you can't even imagine. As luck would also have it, I didn't have to wait that long before I got my hands on a copy, because normally it takes almost forever for a book to get to my country after it gets released worldwide. It is what it is, but sometimes, like right now, and especially because I've become a bit more profficient with the whole electronic book thing, I can get to books faster this way.

I am, of course, talking about the next novel in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series by author JR Ward, titled 'The Beast'.

I've been in love with these vampires from the moment a good friend of mine sort of coerced me into reading the books to begin with (thank you, Kelly!), because I was initially hesitant over the whole bloodsucker thing. I mean, I was just getting out of the Vampire Academy high and all, so I thught, do I want to spoil the vampires for myself?

Man, would I have made a mistake to turn this series down. I started reading when the first eleven books were out, and that was right before The King was published, but since then, I've probably reread them a couple of times already. In fact, I'm rereading them now, for kicks and giggles.
