Tome Thursday: Queen Move

Hello everyone!

This week on 'which book did she pick up from her TBR pile' we go along to a very random one I saw because I subscribe to this newsletter from a different author.

Yeah, sometimes that's how it happens!

I signed up for the Caldwell Courier Journal by J. R. Ward when she first announced it, and one of the sections she does there is reading, or a book club of some sort, which was how I stumbled over tonight's book of choice.

I'd never, up until this point, read anything by Kennedy Ryan, which is a shame since I really like her writing style from what I've seen so far. 

Just means I'll be picking up more books by her in the future!

For tonight, however, let+s just focus on the one I ended up reading through pretty much in one sitting. Occasionally, I know what's best for me and make sure that I don't overdo it, but sometimes I also can't help myself.

Queen Move was one of those that grabs you and doesn't let go easily.

Tome Thursday: Red, White & Royal Blue

Hello everyone!

One more week, one more book blog, and this week it's one that just might turn into a favourite of mine.

Of course I say this about every third book, give or take, but that's beside the point.

I stumbled upon it by complete accident, I can't even remember how or why, maybe it was a suggestion on Facebook, or on Goodreads? Anyway, once I DID see it, I was intrigued enough to want to read what the story was about in a few sentences, to decide whether or not it would be worth my time.

I think it took me a grand total of five seconds to get a copy of the book.

That's how it happens sometimes, however, and no one and nothing can change that.

I can also honestly say I was not disappointed.

Tome Thursday: White House

Hello everyone!

This Thursday's blog post will be a little bit different in the sense that I'm not going to be talking about one book only. The thing is, I could easily stretch this into two blog posts - and then two weeks of course - but there isn't that much to discuss in terms of both plotline and the wow factor (though there IS plenty of both, still) for that.

In any event, I decided to just throw both books of the double in here and see where the chips fall.

I had encountered Katy Evans before, way before, when her book Real somehow landed in my hands, and I sort of liked her writing style back then. I went ahead afterwards and continued with Mine and Remy, although later, while waiting for the fourth in this series, it sort of fell off my radar and I kind of forgot about it.

Until a very random day a week (or two, no more than that) ago when her name popped up again, this time in connection with a different book altogether.

So, ladies and gentlemen, allow me to present Mr. President and Commander-in-Chief, of the White House series.
