Tome Thursday: Tell Me Your Wish

Hello everyone!

Welcome back to yet another Christmas book review, and, again, to another Serenity Woods review. I feel like I repeat myself a lot in these blog post intros, but truth be told there are just certain topics, authors or genres I gravitate towards with ease, and this is one of them.

I discovered Ms Woods completely by accident when the first book of one of her series, Three Wise Men, was made available on Kobo, and I thought to myself, what the heck.

I could do with some Christmas fluff, right?

Well, I ended up getting so much more than that!

That was a few years ago, and I now have the honour and privilege of being part of Ms Woods' ARC team, which means I'm super lucky and get to check out some of her books in advance. Tonight's one is of that caliber, but let me tell you, it is also SO worth the wait to buy it!

If you've been paying attention, Ms Woods has spent most of this year writing as Hermione Moon (her cozy witch mysteries are worth the read too, by the way), but is now returning to the world of contemporary romance.

Tell Me Your Wish is a standalone in her Christmas-themed books, and you can bet you should be picking it up.

Tome Thursday: White-Hot Christmas

Hello everyone!

Happy New Year!

Hopefully you're recovered, or more or less recovered, now that it's January 2nd, but if not, well, then you really had a lot of fun partying.

Which I think is fitting, given that this is the start of a beautiful new decade!

I have a few plans for this blog as well as for some other things, but first off, I have a straggler (or two) from my Christmas book list that never made it into the December shelves because you can only fit four into the month.

And I know, I know - I promised I'd be reading other things soon. And I will!

But these stragglers are just begging to be talked about, so why not give them a shot, and then move on to different, maybe greener pastures given the weather is hopefully going to start warming up again soon?

Luckily for us, the first book is less chilly than it is hot. White-Hot Christmas even sounds hotter than the average one!

Tome Thursday: His Christmas Present

Hello everyone!

Merry Christmas and Happy Boxing Day if you celebrate it!

I hope you've had some fantastic days with family, friends and loved ones, and that the time spent together was full of joy and happy moments.

In the end, that's what it's all about, isn't it?

A lot of the times we convince ourselves it's about the presents we gift one another, and in recent years this capitalistic approach has certainly almost overpowered the simple message of just BEING, especially if you don't get to see the people closest to you that often.

Me, I've had way too much good food and even better laughs, and I'm still rolling around from both.

So to get back in shape just a little bit, here's my book blog post for this week, of course with another Christmas story since December isn't nearly over yet, and obviously it's going to be another Serenity Woods one.

When in doubt, turn to your favourite authors.

Tome Thursday: If Kisses Were Snowflakes

Hello everyone!

Today has been a rather busy day for me, but that said, I've been looking forward to sitting down and typing up this blog post, because it features one of my favourite books.

I think you may be sensing a trend here.

I don't believe I've ever run into more than one or two books written by Serenity Woods that I didn't like - and even then, it wasn't that I really didn't like them, I just didn't connect well enough with a character so I felt out of whack with the entire thing, and therefore missed the experience.

But ALL of her books are guaranteed to make you smile. Scout's honour!

I've been on a Woods reading binge ever since December began, going through her Three Wise Men series (I still have to read Matt's book one more time) and generally just picking up her Christmas-y titles.

This one is DEFINITELY one of those, because believe it or not, it's part of her Christmas Wishes book series, a set of standalone books that are all set in Christmas time.

As they say, If Kisses Were Snowflakes - I'd send you a snowstorm.

Tome Thursday: Holly's First Noel

Hello everyone!

Of course books won't be escaping the Christmas touch, either.

There's always a bunch of them that are offered for free at Kobo, which I'm honestly stoked about, and then there are also others that you can buy that won't empty your pockets and bankrupt you completely.

Tonight's choice was one of the latter.

Obviously, if you know me, you'll know there's no way in any universe that I won't be reviewing a Serenity Woods book when it comes to Christmas. There are far, FAR too many good ones to go around!

In about two weeks her newest one hits publishers, but until then we'll be taking a look at one of her earlier ones filled with Christmas spirit.

Because there are BOUND to be people who can relate to the storyline in Holly's First Noel. There's no way it's an anomaly.
