Tome Thursday: His for Christmas

Hello everyone!

Merry Christmas!

I hope you've all had a wonderful time, whether with your friends and family, or alone, because the most important thing to remember during the holidays is that they are what YOU make them to be.

Not what the internet is trying to tell you they should be.

And now, with that PSA out of the way, let's dive into the last purely Christmas book review on this blog, shall we?

I was saving this one for last because it just hit me in all the feels, ya know?

Also, because Lea Rose just writes so BEAUTIFULLY (and just revealed the title for her next book set in Rosewood Falls, and I AM HERE FOR IT), and because her books always bring out all the emotions so well.

So without further ado, let's hop right into it.

Because it's time to settle down in His for Christmas.

Talkie Tuesday: Barbie in the Nutcracker

"How could I say no to the King?"

Hello everyone!

And welcome to the last movie blog of the year before Christmas hits us.

Can you believe it's ACTUALLY just around the corner? Tomorrow night is Christmas Eve!

I'm not entirely sure where the time went, because I could have sworn that we were melting from the summer heat just yesterday, and now here we are.

I suppose time does fly when you're having fun, right?

But without further ado, we're going WAY back in time for tonight's choice of movie.

Well, maybe 'way back' is a bit of an exaggeration - but it's definitely 24 years ago, if nothing else. And we're going to be dancing - like, a lot.

So make sure to dust off those tutus and break in them ballet shoes, because this story takes flight against the backdrop of Tchaikovsky's music.

Nothing says Christmas like Barbie in the Nutcracker.

Tome Thursday: Bouquets & Buckles

Hello everyone!

I hope the lead-up to the actual holidays is treating you well. I know it can be overwhelming and exhausting for a lot of people, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that everyone can get at least SOME breathing room in, and not have to worry about a single thing.

That said, it's time to buckle up, almost literally, on this blog again.

We're headed back to Crimson Ridge.

Because, get this: there's a holiday novella for you to read on there!

Not a full novel, not a massive book, so if you don't have the time to invest, but still want to have some hot holiday cowboy love, this is absolutely the one for you.

... and am I side-eyeing the new release by Elliott Rose even as I type this? Yes, yes I am, of course. Why wouldn't I be when she writes this beautifully?

But without further ado, it's time to forget about all the real stuff for a while, and disappear into the cozy and the sexy.

All of that and more gets delivered in Bouquets & Buckles!

Talkie Tuesday: Beyond the Northern Lights

"You can make the impossible possible."

Hello everyone!

And welcome to the final installment of our journey following Niko the little reindeer.

Well, I say final, but of course I have no idea if the studio that made the current trilogy has any plans on further sequels, which, after seeing this movie, I honestly think could very easily happen.

I mean, Niko's just transitioning from childhood to adolescence, he's still got WAYS to go before he can actually call himself an adult.

That means there's still PLENTY of time for him to have a bunch of other adventures, not to mention mishaps, along the way.

But I digress.

For tonight, we're not talking about the future or what-ifs, because we're going to be talking about the here and now.

Which is the third, and - currently - final movie, Beyond the Northern Lights!

Tome Thursday: Chasing the Wild

Hello everyone!

I hope you're ready for this WILD ride tonight.

Yes, that pun is absolutely intended.

Yes, it also probably means exactly what you think it means.

No, I'm not going to apologize for it.

That said, to be quite clear: the books I'll be reviewing this month when it comes to the holiday picks do feature various amounts of smutty scenes that readers may or may not want to read through.

Then again, if you pick up a book which explains exactly what you're getting into in the blurb, then I don't know what to tell you about your expectations.

This is a safe space, where we lust after hot daddy cowboys and leave all the other details in the dust, but equally we run a full gamut of emotions and really EARN that happily ever after.

That's all there is to it.

So without further ado - Chasing the Wild!

Talkie Tuesday: A Christmas Adventure

"Happy heart, everyone!"

Hello everyone!

Welcome to the second installment in Niko's story.

And yes, there WILL be a third, coming to your blog screens around this time next week, so make sure you're all caught up before then.

Because boy, does Niko have a few more adventures to share with us all!

As always, you know the drill: until the holiday season lets up, there will be only Christmas-themed posts on this blog, as has been tradition for the last ... who knows how many years at this point?

I don't even know how long I've been blogging! It must be going on a decade at this point.

Wow. Time flies when you're having fun!

So without further ado, let's have a little MORE fun while we're at it, shall we? Because the reindeer will ensure that's definitely what happens.

Tome Thursday: Decked, Wrecked and Pucked

Hello everyone!

Welcome to the first of the Christmas books that will be featured here on this blog during the month of December.

And boy, have I got a zinger for you!

Honestly, I don't know how I haven't run around in circles talking about it.

It's the perfect length for the season, it's got a heck of a lot of steamy, spicy scenes, it's got some ice hockey thrown into the mix, and it's got those angsty, perfect feels that'll get you all up there while you're working through everything with the characters along the way.

If I haven't mentioned already, the book is written by Lea Rose.

Also, if I haven't mentioned already, Lea Rose might just be one of my new all-time favourite contemporary authors. She just has this way with words and writing YEARNING that it's beautiful to witness.

So kick back, relax, and get ready to be Decked, Wrecked and Pucked.

Talkie Tuesday: The Flight Before Christmas

"Don't think: believe."

Hello everyone!

And welcome.

Welcome, welcome, one and all, to the December Christmas extravaganza that I've been running on this blog for ... oh, a very many years now.

It's that time of year when I forego all other releases, literary or film, and focus specifically and solely on anything and everything Christmast-themed.

Is it a bit cliché? Yup. Does it sometimes clash with everything else that's happening at around the same time? Also yes.

But it's tradition at this point, and who am I to flaunt that?

Which is why, as a lovely introduction to this month, we're spending the evening with a cute little reindeer buck. And no, his name's not Rudolph, interestingly.

His name's Niko, and he takes off in The Flight Before Christmas!
