Talkie Tuesday: Nightmare of the Wolf

Hello everyone!

 

Back for another week of blog posts and as per usual I'm just a little bit late to the band wagon on this one, but hey, not AS late as I would usually be!

 

It's only a week or so, give or take this time.

 

Anyway, in case you haven't been paying attention, The Witcher has taken the world by storm both by the professionals portraying the characters in the show, the characters themselves, and the story from under the pen of Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski.

 

With the heightened awareness that season two is dropping towards the end of this year, Netflix then went on to announce a few spin-offs, both in television show and movie format, and the movie dropped first.

 

Well, anime movie I should say, as it was in anime style.

 

Either way, it definitely dropped at the end of August, and people seem to be giving out mixed vibes about it.

 

But The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, is here and rearing to be seen!

 

Talkie Tuesday: Underworld Blood Wars

Hello everyone!

So, alright. I kind of messed up with the whole 'I'm going to switch my Tuesday and Saturday posts' last week. 

I'll admit, it completely slipped my mind and also, with the rain we've been having (nothing even remotely close to Irma or what's happening to our neighbours in Croatia, however) it's been kind of difficult to focus on anything specific, outside of just slowly regrouping and gathering all the things I may need in the coming weeks.

Anyway, I'm back with a proper movie review this week, and I've chosen one of the older ones for the time being (or well, semi-old really) as opposed to the newer I'd watched while away at the seaside. I'll do one of those next week though!

Moving to the actual theme of this week, I picked Underworld: Blood Wars because I have an affinity for these vampire movies, mostly because I thoroughly enjoyed the first, humoured the second, loved the prequel, and had a love-hate relationship with the Awakening one.

I put all that aside for Blood Wars, however, because THIS was a proper Underworld movie.

Talkie Tuesday: Allegiant

Hello everyone!

I debated long and hard about what I wanted to talk about tonight in this blog post, as when I browse the web, there are certain things that I don't see, but want to. Like, for instance, recaps of the Poldark episodes, because sometimes I don't have time to actually watch the episode but would still love to learn what happened ... 

So I waged an internal battle about whether or not I want to do an ep-by-ep recap of the Poldark season as I did with Game of Thrones, then decided I would compromise and do a review after the first half was over.

For tonight, I needed a different thing, then.

Going to consult my trusty sheep booklet, I perused through the notes I'd jotted down while I was watching different movies, and finally decided on one that I'm so puzzled about that I doubt I've seen the light yet.

No, scratch that, I haven't, let's be honest here.

I'm talking about Allegiant.

Talkie Tuesday: Insurgent

Hello everyone!

So, I have a confession to make.

Well, it shouldn't be too weird to some of you who know me, because sometimes, this is just how I get. I wanted to see Insurgent as soon as was humanly possible once it was released, because, well, I love the Divergent series and I am definitely a big fan. Also, the first movie was quite amazing as far as everything goes. 

But then I'm not exactly sure what happened.

Friends kept asking me if I'd seen Insurgent already or what, and all the time, my answer would be 'No, not yet', 'Working on it' or 'I'm getting there'.

What happened?

I really have no idea.

For some odd reason, once I got the chance to actually see the movie, I was hesitant. Maybe it was a sixth sense telling me all about it.
