Tome Thursday: Charlie's Christmas Angels

Hello everyone!

Not sure about you, but I'm kind of blown away by how fast the year's gone by. I mean, only one more day left and we'll be in 2022 already!

Where has the time gone?

To wrap up this blogging year - as the next post falls on New Year's Day - I picked up something extra special.

Well, alright, I was sent something extra special, but I wasn't the only one, because if you're subscribed to Serenity Woods' newsletter, you got a very special short story somewhere mid-December as a Christmas treat.

Yes, I am in fact going back to Ms Woods to wrap this year up nice and tight with a bow on top!

So without further ado, I'm going to stop blathering about unimportant information, and jump right into it.

Because Charlie's Christmas Angels wait for no one!

Talkie Tuesday: WHC A Country Christmas

"There's no journey like a shared one."

Hello everyone!

Can you believe we made it to the end? This is the last Talkie post of this calendar year, because starting next week we're already in 2022!

And boy, do I have some goooood posts planned for that one.

But first, one has to go out with a bang, right? So that's why for this particular blog post, we're returning to the fictional, or semi-fictional world of rural Canada back in the day when it was still basically building itself from the ground up, when cars were a novelty and not everyone had them, and when it was the kindness of people that fueled it, not necessarily fuel.

Okay, I'm maudlin now.

For a long time, I did When Calls the Heart specials reviews here on the blog, but this year that one didn't happen because of reasons, however, it's spin-off finally got picked up!

That's right, remember When Hope Calls? Well, it moved to a different production company and is returning for a second season, but first we need to have A Country Christmas.

Tome Thursday: Eight Nights in December

Hello everyone!

So going through my Christmas blog posts, I realized that I seem to be missing things, specifically holiday-related, and especially from one of my favourite authors.

This is, as the Grinch would say, an audacity!

I've somehow missed one or two holiday books by Keira Andrews, despite the fact I've done reviews during separate years where ALL I've focused on were her books.

It's a mystery how this happened!

But as I like to occasionally dig through and pull out stuff I haven't poked at yet, this year seems to be the catch-up kind of year.

I may not have done Booktober BUT my goodness, I'll be doing these Christmas ones right!

So without further ado, let's have a look at a really cute novella, shall we?

Eight Nights in December is absolutely adorable.

Talkie Tuesday: Next Stop, Christmas

"Wouldn't it be nice if we could turn back the clock and do it all over again?"

Hello everyone!

I can't believe we only have one more Talkie blog post left after this one in December. Where did the time ACTUALLY go?!

I've no idea.

I feel like occasionally it seems to roll by super slowly, but then you blink and you miss like, half a month or something.

Or maybe it's just me. Is it just me, or is it anybody else?

Anyway, that aside, it's time to watch one of my favourite Christmas movies to come out of the Hallmark lineup this year, if not THE favourite thus far. And I'll be honest and say that I clipped and pared down my list until it was a manageable ten or so, because boy oh boy, did I not have the time.

This one, however, hits all the right spots somehow.

And how appropriate that we take a look at it now, since Next Stop, Christmas, is literally the next stop for us all?

Tome Thursday: Santa, the Billionaire

Hello everyone!

Why yes, yes indeed I am reviewing a Serenity Woods romance this holiday season.

Did you think it wasn't going to happen?

Naturally it was going to.

Of course Ms Woods has other holiday-themed ones that mostly happen in the summer in New Zealand, which always gives me whiplash since I live in the northern hemisphere and that means our winters are cold, not summery, but that's beside the point right now.

Tonight it's time to return to our favourite Billionaire Princes, and have a look at what their patriarch is up to when no one's looking (or he thinks no one's looking anyway).

And if you've been following me for a while you'll know that I've been covering this series from the very first book forward, which means that I will obviously cover it until the very last (we have two more to go!).

PLUS there's a small bonus happening here soon, but more on that later. For now, let's check out what Santa, the Billionaire, gets up to during the festive season!

Talkie Tuesday: Gingerbread Miracle

"There are no coincidences at Christmas."

Hello everyone!

This week's choice of movie is one of the rare few I've actually enjoyed while watching this year's Hallmark lineup.

I don't know what it is, to be honest, because I usually like more than just a few.

This year seems to be a weird one, however, either with the lineup in question, or just because of the weird year altogether.

ANYWAY, tonight's choice is still a good one however because it has one of the most popular actresses for the production, and that's saying something with all the other veteran ones out there, but the camera does love her, so.

Either way you look at it, it's a movie that's got a little something for everybody that wants to watch it if you ask me.

So let's not waste any more time and jump straight into Gingerbread Miracle, shall we?

Tome Thursday: Only One Bed

Hello everyone!

You knew this was coming. You HAD to have known this was going to happen!

Keira Andrews releases a new holiday-flavoured romance every single holiday season, and if you ever thought I wouldn't be reviewing them ... well, you've gotten up on the very wrong side of the bed haha.

I'm pretty sure that I've covered almost all of them thus far, though of course I may be wrong and have missed one or two, which if I have, I'll just have to remedy at some point, no problem.

News of this year's found its way to me at the best possible time when I needed the extra distraction, and as always, it did not disappoint at all.

As far as I'm concerned, if you want fluffy, happy, merry holiday reads, Ms Andrews should be your go-to!

Also included are some steamy moments and all the happily ever afters you could possibly want.

So without further ado, let's not waste any more time, shall we?

Because Only One Bed is up, and man, it's a good one!

Talkie Tuesday: Christmas in My Heart

"It's okay to choose your own path."

Hello everyone!

And a warm welcome to the first of this month's movie reviews, which will all be dealing with the same exact theme, so hopefully you're ready.

Christmas is, quite literally, right around the corner.

So what better way to prepare for it than by watching some of the holiday movies that always air this time of year?

Hallmark's Countdown to Christmas and Miracles of Christmas are both seasonal programs that have been running for quite a few years by this point, and on a good year they'll launch probably close to 50 movies into the ether to then see which resonates with audiences the most.

To say there may be some repetitions of plotlines would be an understatement, but suffice to say they do in fact have gems every single holiday season, and then some.

Christmas in My Heart even has a lovely title to go along with it!

Tome Thursday: A Holiday by Gaslight

Hello everyone!

Hello, and welcome to what will now be Christmas-themed (or holiday-themed) blog posts for the rest of this calendar year.

Can you believe it's December already?

I honestly can't, it's gone by SO fast, and when you think about it, it literally feels like we only just turned around after last New Year's to begin 2021, but now we're finishing it up and heading into 2022.

It's completely bizarre and something that I wasn't expecting!

Then again though, this last month of the year is usually pretty magical, or it attempts to be, so why not try to enjoy it while we can, right?

Especially with ALL the current craziness, it's basically enough to turn anyone away from mainstream media.

So without further ado, let's get right into it, shall we?

A Holiday by Gaslight, by Mimi Matthews, is here to start the show.
