Tome Thursday: Unveiled

Hello everyone!

It's Thursday again and once more I'm back with another Noelle Adams book to review for you. Or, well, it's a novella, not really a book, since it's under one hundred pages, but that's beside the point, right? Right.

I started her 'One Fairy Tale Wedding' novella series because, honestly, the premise sounded really neat. Who doesn't want to find their own fairy tale at a wedding?

That being said, however, I have to admit that, as so many people have already mentioned, sometimes only the first book in a series is really SUPER good. The rest just never seem to live up to expactations apparently ...

Or maybe I'm being a little down for some odd reason or another.

In any case, Unveiled, being the third and last in the series, is the book I'll be talking about tonight.

Tome Thursday: Untouched

Hello everyone!

It's time for the weekly book review, and this week I was once again lucky that one of my favourite authors released another novella from her Fairy Tale Wedding series.

Noelle Adams has quickly found her way back to my regular reading list, and as I've already done a review on Unguarded, I figured I might as well do myself (and my OCD) a favour and continue along the trend which would enable me to have the entire trilogy on here once it was out and about.

So like I've already mentioned elsewhere on this blog, Ms Adams is one of my go-tos when I'm feeling down or in need of some old-fashioned happily ever after with reasonable characters.

You know the feeling, right? When all you want to do is immerse yourself in someone else's life through a book but end up dissecting it instead because they come off as just SO unrealistic that it's impossible?

Yeah, that's usually me. Not so with Untouched, however.

Ahem.

I confess I'm cheating just a little bit this week with the book blog post, because I'm actually reviewing a novella and not a novel, but I got my hands on it yesterday evening and read it in one go (like, I literally almost didn't take a good breath in between) because I loved it so much.

Then again, it's been a while since I've read a new Noelle Adams release and felt super excited about it.

Okay, no, I'm lying, I HAVE read her books in the interim as well, but somehow never got to typing a blog post for it all. Considering she's one of my go-to contemporary romance authors it's a shame, really.

So without further ado, allow me to introduce Unguarded.

Tome Thursday: A Very English Christmas

Hello everyone!

As indicated previously in the week with my Tuesday blog post, this month it's ALL about the holiday season - with movies and books alike!

Which means I needed to find something neat for my starter post, and what better way to begin than to turn to some of my favourite authors?

I had the pick between Serenity Woods, Keira Andrews and Noelle Adams, but I went with Ms Andrews because I've very recently finished another one of her works, not that I'll be talking about that book just yet. It'll have to wait until January 2018, but I can promise you, it made me cry, so you KNOW it's good.

As for this blog post, however, I did in fact pick an Andrews book for obvious reasons, and luckily for me there are a few of hers to choose from for the season.

I chose A Very English Christmas, featuring Isaac and David from her gay Amish storyline, I was delighted to revisit them even if I have yet to finish the actual series. Oops ...

Tome Thursday: After the Fire

Hello everyone!

I've been feeling a bit moody and completely unhappy with some of my reading choices, which is why my reading list SAYS I'm reading Queen of Shadows, but I'm actually waiting for my reading muse to kick in for that one.

Sadly, sometimes I get into a fantasy slump, but usually I can fix that pretty easily.

Usually, I say.

I haven't done it so far, even though I've gone back to re-read The Hobbit, and then deviated completely to Arthur Conan Doyle while I was at it, and then just ditched the whole mystery/fantasy genre altogether and went into the real world again.

There are three authors perfectly guaranteed to make me quite happy with the books they write, as I may have mentioned before: Noelle Adams, Serenity Woods, and Kathryn Shay, not necessarily in that order.

I started off with Woods and then moved along to Adams, but then just gave in to temptation and picked up Shay's 'Cop of the Year' (my first book by her) and then to the one I'm reviewing today, After the Fire.
